Dactylorhiza x grandis Blackthorn Strain Clone A Dactylorhiza × grandis is a hybrid between the Southern Marsh Orchid (D. praetermissa) and the Common Spotted Orchid (D. fuchsii). The two selected clones available express the variation within this hybrid with this clone (A) more closely resembling the paler and arguably more elegant D. fuchsii but rapidly clumps to produce a myrid of spikes of crisply marked pale flowers.

The two selected clones available express the variation within this hybrid with this clone (B) more closely resembling D. praetermissa, tall spikes of large richly coloured flowers make this clone stand out with it's hybrid vigour impressively displayed by its stature.
